Legendary actor Charlie Chaplin stars as The Little Tramp who stumbles upon an abandoned baby in an alley and takes him into his care in this landmark silent film. As 'the kid' grows older, they become partners in crime, until one day when the child falls ill and hospital workers endeavor to take the boy away. One of the most famous silent films of all time--and the first that Chaplin wrote and directed himself--it is also regarded as the first ever comedy-drama.
