The plot of this Norwegian children's series involves Sigrid who loses her husgand in a work accident, and the sons of the Vangen farm, Steinar and Kåre, who have to take over the role of their father. Their neighbor, Strong-Ola Bakken, gives Sigrid and her boys a hand when needed. Near the farm lies Skjorhagen, where Martin and his son, Larris, live. They cause many problems for the Vangen boys' mother Sigrid.
