A failed suicide attempt leaves Roary, a former sports star, partially crippled. He begins spending a lot of time at a neighborhood bar full of interesting misfits. Jerry the bartender, himself an injured basketball player, forges a bond with Roary and, with a lot of help, finds himself playing basketball for the Golden State Warriors.
