In 1810, as the Peninsular War rages on, Captain Richard Sharpe and a small regimen of men are sent on a mission to discover the fate of a fellow British officer who was sent to recover gold. Teaming up with Major Kearsey, Sharpe sets out to find the missing officer, as well as the gold. However, the duo has conflicting intentions for the gold, and with the Spanish suspicious of their presence, Sharpe must use his cunning to complete the mission.
