Opening up to the light. This is the book (Qur'an 2:2) : Meditate on its signs (Qur'an 38:29) ; The Qur'an is a shy and veiled bride / Rumi ; I was a secret treasure and I longed to be known (Hadith Qudsi) ; We have not known you as we should have (Hadith) -- Cultivating inner spaciousness. Know thyself and you shall know thy Lord (Hadith) ; Die before you die (Hadith) ; The road is long, the sea is deep / Fariduddin Attar ; In the name of God, boundlessly compassionate and infinitely merciful (Qur'anic invocation) ; We have made some of you as a trial for others : will you have patience? (Qur'an 25:20) ; Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage (Qur'an 84:19) ; Will you not see? Will you not listen? ; Will you not pay attention? (Qur'an 54:17, 7:204) -- Purifying and expanding the heart. O my Lord! Open for me my heart! (Qur'an 20:25) ; Bring to God a sound heart (Qur'an 26:89) ; Who has a better dye than God? (Qur'an 2:138) ; Embrace not only the ten thousand joys of life, but also the ten thousand sorrows (traditional saying) ; There is room inside for only one of us / Rumi -- Remembering your sustainer.
