Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
The fourth Dave Matthews multi-disc live set to appear in the two years following the 2009 release of Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King, the 2011 Live at Wrigley Field documents a relatively hit-heavy set performed at the famed Chicago ballpark on September 18, 2010. Maybe most fans don’t need another version of “Tripping Billies” or “Jimi Thing” in their library, but DMB plays both with a modicum of vigor, which may be the calling card of this collection. There are no surprises, either among the songs or the sensibility, but DMB is engaged with an audience that is eager to have a good time, so everybody is entertained for a night. That may or may not be enough to justify another official live album in the discography -- if you’re outside the cult, it’s impossible to tell -- but Live at Wrigley it’s certainly not a perfunctory performance. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
