Unlike almost every entry in Universal's ongoing Icon series, Belinda Carlisle's Icon volume is distinguished by the presence of a new recording in the album-opening "Sun." Apart from that tune, this compilation marches through Carlisle's big hits of the late '80s, including "Mad About You," "Heaven Is a Place on Earth," "I Get Weak," "Circle in the Sand," "Leave a Light On," and "Summer Rain."
