Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
With his second full-length album, All 4 Nothing, vocalist/songwriter Lauv continues producing his specific brand of high-gloss pop, which finds him sharing feelings of disillusionment and disappointment before bulldozing over those heavy emotions with unstoppable melodic hooks. Much like his 2020 debut LP, ~how i'm feeling~, and songs he wrote prior to that for other artists, Lauv's disposition on much of All 4 Nothing is a bittersweet melancholy wrapped in incredibly catchy sweetness. "26" finds him feeling empty at the top of the world, rich and famous and wildly lonely. "All 4 Nothing (I'm So in Love)" is a swirl of tender Auto-Tuned vocals and friendly rhythms that distract from the lyrical narrative that's either looking back fondly on a summer love or writhing in heartbreak over its end. Much of the album follows this complex formula of heavy emotions and sunny sounds, with Lauv finding a way to turn his dark memories, bad trips, and deepest regrets into something digestible and light. ~ TiVo Staff
