Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
If Tyler Hubbard is broken up about his separation from his Florida Georgia Line partner Brian Kelley, he never shows his heartbreak on his eponymous debut album. Much of this record could be heard on the 2022 EP Dancin' in the Country, a record whose frivolous title suggests Hubbard is in the mood to celebrate. Fittingly, the EP and the expanded LP are clean, gleaming machines churning out top-down anthems for the open road. Even when the tempo slightly slows or the mood gets vaguely romantic, the vibe is still chill and bright: this is music meant to soundtrack any kind of good times you'd like. Hearing the Florida Georgia Line formula stripped down to its basic elements does have its appeal, especially as Hubbard seems lighter on his feet than he did when paired with Kelley. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
