In 1954, Miss America and Golden Girl are discussing the mysterious disappearances of other superheroes when Whizzer arrives at their door, then suddenly vanishes through a disturbance in the air. The superwomen step through the disturbance into the present day where they encounter the Puppet Master, who has taken control of Whizzer. During the fight that ensues, Captain America and Wolverine show up to lend their assistance, the Puppet Master and Whizzer flee, and the Avengers, including Spider-Man, must find a way to stop the Puppet Master before he can enact his plan to control the past.
