Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

Pianist Simone Dinnerstein is known for her powerful interpretations of Bach. Her highly acclaimed 2007 recording of the Goldberg Variations actually outsold The White Stripes online. She was asked to perform Philip Glass's piano Etudes at a concert celebrating his Glenn Gould Prize, Canada's highest musical honor. The composer was so impressed that he dedicated a new piano concerto in her honor. This recording features Dinnerstein backed by the dynamic young string orchestra A Far Cry.
