Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Trevor Hall continues his thoughtful meditative journey on KALA, his seventh studio album. Inspired by a comment from his grandmother regarding the "gift of time," he named the album after the Sanskrit word for time. Written in Hawaii and recorded in L.A., KALA features 13 warm-vibed tracks that mix boho surf-folk, reggae, and gentle worldbeat rhythms in what has become Hall's signature style. Led by the lead single "To Zion," the album completes a trilogy of extremely personal releases that also includes 2014's Chapter of the Forest and the 2015 EP Unpack Your Memories.... ~ Timothy Monger
