Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
This stop-motion film from the animation studio Laika is written and directed by Chris Butler. It follows Pacific Northwest dwelling Mr. Link (Zach Galifianakis), an 8 feet tall yeti-like species who enlists the help of intrepid explorer Sir Lionel Frost (Hugh Jackman) and keen adventurer Adelina Fortnight (Zoe Saldana) in order to find his long-lost ancestors located in Shangri-La. It’s an epic journey across difficult terrain for this trio, with Mr. Link proving to be anything but inconspicuous along the way. ~ Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez, Rovi

MPAA rating: PG for action/peril and some mild rude humor.
The charismatic Sir Lionel Frost considers himself to be the world's foremost investigator of myths and monsters. The trouble is none of his small-minded high-society peers seems to recognize this. Sir Lionel's last chance for acceptance by the adventuring elite rests on traveling to America's Pacific Northwest to prove the existence of a legendary creature. A living remnant of Man's primitive ancestry. The missing link.
