In all of his years, Henry Altmann (Williams) has never had a good day. An embittered malcontent with a perpetual chip on his shoulder, Altmann's impatience is put to the test one morning in his doctor's waiting room. Little does Altmann realize that Dr. Sharon Gill (Kunis) is having a particularly rough morning as well. Exceptionally enraged after being informed that he has a brain aneurysm, Altmann demands to know how long he has left to live. When the frustrated doctor vindictively gives Altmann a life-expectancy of 90 minutes, a sudden sense of regret washes over him, propelling him on a mission to seek forgiveness from the people he has hurt the most in his life.
