Sara accompanies her policeman dad, Dave who is sent to a small town to investigate a mysterious rash of suicides among its teen inhabitants. At first Sara has trouble adjusting as the new girl while Dave's efforts to uncover the source of the tragedies are rebuffed by the village teens. Sara becomes infatuated with a dangerous local, Jamie, and finds herself becoming engulfed in a dark and ritualistically strange youth culture that threatens her sanity.
